A Musical Foundation
Music has always been part of Jon’s life.
He was born into a musical family, where his grandfather, Beto Garcia, a jazz drummer and founder of the Texas Jazz Festival, helped shape his early exposure to live performance and musicianship.
Jon studied piano, trumpet, violin, and choir through a Fine Arts Academy, eventually finding his voice at the piano, the instrument that remains at the center of his performances today.
That foundation continues through his work as a music director in a Catholic church, where timing, structure, and musical sensitivity are approached with a level of care that carries into each performance.

Performance and Background
Over the years, Jon has performed with professional ensembles throughout South Texas and currently serves as Musical Director for Latin Talk, a salsa and merengue orchestra recognized on the South Texas Music Walk of Fame.
He also held an eight-year residency at the Republic of Texas Steakhouse at the Omni Hotel in Corpus Christi, performing multiple nights each week and developing a style that adapts naturally to the energy of the room.

Jon has performed for hundreds of corporate and private events, including gatherings featuring distinguished speakers such as George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Tony Blair, Steve Wozniak, Vicente Fox, David McCullough, Benjamin Crump, Buzz Aldrin, Beto O’Rourke, and Adam Hinojosa.
His ensembles have also had the privilege of opening for internationally recognized artists including Chuck Mangione, Chicago, José Feliciano, Strunz & Farah, Eddie Palmieri, Chuchito Valdes, and Elvis Crespo, and performing solo piano during a meet and greet for Arturo Sandoval.
